CLOUDSCAPE Parts Ways With Bassist, Announces Replacement

Swedish metallers CLOUDSCAPE have parted ways with bassist Haynes Pherson and have replaced him with Håkan Nyander from SUPREME MAJESTY.

Commented the band: "A few weeks ago, Haynes Pherson decided to leave CLOUDSCAPE. His decision is totally based on personal issues and has nothing to do with CLOUDSCAPE as a band or the band members. Haynes and the members in CLOUDSCAPE are still great friends and the band respects and understands Haynes' reasons for leaving and wishes him all the best for the future. Nonetheless, CLOUDSCAPE has done a few auditions to find a good replacement to Haynes. Haynes was a great bass player and a great performer on stage so, it hasn't been easy to find the right guy to replace him but, recently CLOUDSCAPE did a few rehearsals with Håkan Nyander who also is the bass player in SUPREME MAJESTY so, everything felt right and everything clicked really well with Håkan both musically and personally."

"Darkest Legacy", the latest video from CLOUDSCAPE, can be viewed below. The clip was filmed, directed and edited by Rainer Holmgren (PAIN OF SALVATION, ARSIS).

"Darkest Legacy" comes off the group's third album, "Global Drama", which was released last summer in Europe through Goldencore/Roastinghouse Records and in North America through Nightmare Records.

CLOUDSCAPE previously described "Global Drama" as "the most varied and interesting album by CLOUDSCAPE so far. It contains a few really hard and raw metal songs and there will also be a few more atmospheric and dynamic songs progressively spiced."

The CD was produced by Pontus Lindmark and recorded at RoastingHouse Studios in Malmö, Sweden.

CLOUDSCAPE's sophomore CD, "Crimson Skies", was released in the U.S. in July 2006 via Nightmare Records.
